Water Tanks – Young
Young is a town in the South West Slopes region of New South Wales, Australia and the largest town in Hilltops Council. At the 2011 census, Young had a population of 6,960. Young is marketed as the Cherry Capital of Australia and every year hosts the National Cherry Festival. Young is situated on the Olympic Highway and is approximately 2 hours drive from the Canberra area.
The South West Tablelands Water Supply Scheme draws water from Burrinjuck Dam and along with Young’s other major water asset Chinaman’s Dam. Both have a colourful history and are highly valued by the community. As water resources are finite, a major focus for the region going forward will be placed on water storage and conservation. Water is no longer the freely available commodity that has been in the past and the community will need to have a stronger focus on water harvesting and storage in order to meet demand expectations.
If you would like to increase your water storage capacity for your business or provide an alternative domestic supply for your home, Heritage Water Tanks can offer high-quality water tanks for all your water harvesting and storage needs.
