Water Tanks – Ipswich
Ipswich is centrally located in the booming southeast Queensland region of Australia. To the east is the capital city Brisbane, and to the west are the rural and agricultural areas of the Brisbane, Lockyer and Fassifern Valleys.
Ipswich comprises an area of 1090 square kms and has a population of 200,000 people. Ipswich enjoys a subtropical climate and is a safe, friendly and multicultural city, with residents from 115 different ethnic backgrounds, speaking 84 languages.
As Queensland’s oldest provincial city, Ipswich has a rich history and was a major coal mining centre in the past. Other secondary manufacturing industries included earthenware works, sawmills, abattoirs and foundries, while the region is also rich agriculturally.
Ipswich remains a strong manufacturing region, with more than 14% of workers employed in the manufacturing industry, compared to just 7.6% for regional Queensland. Extensive growth is predicted in Ipswich and the Western Corridor region in years to come, the economy is projected to be worth $12.7 billion by 2026, with global giant General Electric moving its Queensland headquarters into a $72 million building in Springfield in 2015.
Due to high demand and pressure on local water supplies, water is no longer the freely available commodity that it has been in the past. The community will need to have a stronger focus on harvesting and storing high-quality water, in order to meet demand in the future for rural, household and commercial supply.
If you would like to increase your water storage capacity for your business or provide additional domestic supply for your home, Heritage Water Tanks can offer high-quality water tanks for all your water harvesting and storage needs.
